Inspiration can come from many different things and at any time. I am often asked where I draw my inspiration from and I wanted to share with you where I get my inspiration. I am somewhat of a daydreamer and my inspirations come from all over the place, so when I am asked that question it forces me to think what the main creative sources that I draw from time and time again. The first source I often go to is 500px.
This is a phenomenal resource for looking at photographs and gaining inspiration. What I love about this site is the photographers only list their best work and if you have and upcoming project or you are going to travel, you can find ideas and techniques and it will list the metadata so you can find aperture, shutter speed and whether flash was used.
Another site designed for photographers that I frequent is Instagram. Again they have beautiful photography and you can check out things like composition and post processing to gain insights for a fresh perspective.
Those are my main sources of inspiration for unlocking ideas of what photos I would like to take. Secondary sources that I visit are educational sites like Kelby one. Sites like this allow you to learn photographic techniques, software and video just to name a few. The best thing about Kelby one is they have assembled some of the worlds top talents and most respected photographers in the world and yo can get this type of inspiration for a nominal fee.
Finally, I have a number of photographic blogs that I frequent to gain insight, share with like minded creatives, and simply be inspired by their work. Also being active in and joining Google+ communities in my areas of interest is helpful in building relationships and getting constructive criticism on my work. All of these avenues create new ideas, projects and leave me inspired to keep shooting.
