How do you keep track of assignments, generate invoices, inventory your gear and generate forms. Just a few of the things that a freelance photographer has to do all while tryng to determine where the next job might be coming from. After trying many different methods, none of which gave me all the things that I needed in one place, I decided to give FotoBiz a shot. I had heard a lot about this software, and in fact they say right on the front page, business management software for freelance photographers.
Each screen in simple to fill in and once you have your information in the setup screen, it will auto populate the fields. All things can be edited to fit your needs and input is fast and easy. One of my favorite features is the ability to generate quotes and quickly turn them into invoices if the client hires you.
Other features include generating stock imagery quotes, the ability to inventory your gear, creation of contacts or clients list, tracking accounts payable and receivable and using a personalize logo. I am still exploring the possibilities of this software and the subtle nuances it provides. Overall first impressions, it is an easy to use intuitive program that can be customized to meet your business needs. Whether you are a stock photographer, portrait, wedding or whatever your niche is, this will have features that you can use. I have no affiliation with Cradoc Software, I just like passing along things that I have used that work well and hopefully will help other photographers. So far I am liking the features and ease of use. If you are in the market for business management software, check out Fotobiz.
